Knitwear displaying the Woolmark Machine Washable label can be safely machine washed on the wool setting in your washing machine.• Wash your garment inside out to protect the outer surface• Use the wool setting on your machine• Set machine setting to cold wash• After washing, gently shake, reshape and lay flat to dry• Do not tumble Dry• Warm iron under protective cloth if needed.

Dry Cleaning your Knitwear:

Dry Cleaning can be great to remove tough stains on your knitwear but always check your care label before taking your garment to the dry cleaners. We advise you to avoid dry cleaning them because it exposes your garment to harsh chemicals which in the long run can be harmful to the delicate fibres.

How to treat pilling:

Pilling is the formation of fuzzy balls on the surface of your garment. It is caused by rubbing during wear or constant contact with rough surfaces. The most common areas of pilling on your knitwear is on the elbows, armpits, sleeves and belly. You can remove pills by hand one pill at a time, use a sweater comb or an electric fabric shaver. This should be done very gently to ensure no damage is done to the garment.

Storage:

Avoid hanging knitted garments. Both gravity and the weight of the garment will cause it to stretch and distort its original shape. So we recommend always folding your knitted garments.
